God Is Your Help

Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. If you’re dealing with a situation that seems too big for you to handle alone, know that you don’t have to handle it alone. Help is available, and it’s God who will help you more than anyone. Nobody cares about you more than the Lord. Nobody wants to see you succeed and overcome like He does.

He’s a very present help. When circumstances turn overwhelming, it often seems like God is far away, but that’s not the case. If you’re a Christian, God is always present with you because He lives in you. When trouble comes we’re assured that He’s very present. He’s totally on your side, ready to lead you into victory against whatever enemy you’re facing. Listen to these great verses from Romans 8:

What should we say then? Since God is on our side, who can be against us? God did not spare his own Son. He gave him up for us all. Then won’t he also freely give us everything else? (Romans 8:32)

Who can separate us from Christ’s love? Can trouble or hard times or harm or hunger? Can nakedness or danger or war? (Romans 8:35)

No! In all these things we will do even more than win! We owe it all to Christ, who has loved us. I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can do that. Not even the highest places or the lowest, or anything else in all creation can do that. Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done. (Romans 8:37-39)

If we can’t be separated from God’s love, we know ahead of time that we’ll win our battle! Turn to God in times of trouble. You’ll find He’s right there to help. If you’re not sure whether or not you’re right with God, we can help you with that too. You can know for sure, right now.

In difficult situations it is also wise to seek the counsel of your pastor or others who are specially trained to help you with the situation you’re facing.

Remember that storms come to all of us but storms don’t last forever. Circumstances change but God never changes. He’s a very present help in times of trouble.
